Cameron Youngblood works in the Steamboat Springs SOSI location providing care for joint replacement patients with Dr. William Howarth along with all orthopaedic conditions for SOSI Patients. He has been practicing orthopaedics since 2003 throughout the Colorado Rockies with an emphasis in joint replacement, spine, and sports medicine. Living in the mountains for more than two decades, Cameron understands patients desire to maintain an active lifestyle after orthopaedic injuries. “I enjoy the activities the mountains provide my family and I, as do most of my patients. My goal is to help return them to the activities they enjoy, as quickly and safely as possible.”
Cameron is originally from Asheville, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for undergraduate studies. He then moved to Aspen, Colorado to ski and worked as a whitewater raft guide. His passion for medicine and helping others drew him to Denver to complete his paramedic training. With a quest to advance his training, he attended Wake Forest University Physician Assistant Program graduating with academic distinction in 2002.
When he is not working, you can find Cameron and his family enjoying the activities the mountains have to offer, skiing, biking, fly fishing and white-water rafting to highlight a few. He resides in Edwards CO, raising and chasing 3 children with his wife, Marta, who is a past alpine Olympic Ski racer.
