Kelsey Pierson, PA-C
Kelsey Pierson PA-C assists Steamboat Orthopaedic & Spine Institute (SOSI) as a fulltime staff member at Yampa Valley - UCHealth Hospital. Kelsey joined the SOSI team in December of 2023 to be the Orthopaedic Liaison between the hospital and SOSI, seeing both emergency room patients and patients staying at the hospital. Before Joining SOSI, Kelsey worked in a similar role, as an Orthopaedic Trauma PA (Physician’s Assistant), in Grand Junction CO. She has practiced as an Orthopaedic PA for the past 9 years. Kelsey attended college at Seton Hill University outside of Pittsburgh, completing a 5-year combined BS/MS program to get her PA degree.
Kelsey, a western Colorado native, moved to Steamboat in sixth grade and graduated from Steamboat High School. She was inspired to become a Physician’s Assistant after being treated by a PA-C at SOSI while she was an athlete in High School. “I want to provide my patients with the same level of care and dedication I received after an injury. I know the importance of getting back to enjoying the activities we love to do as quickly and healthily as possible.”
While completing her undergraduate degree at Seton Hill, Kelsey played division II lacrosse. She continues to stay active enjoying skiing, hiking with her two dogs, scuba diving, and all things outdoors. She enjoys traveling and being close to her family. “I realized during my travels through school and work, that the mountains were always calling be back home.” We welcome Kelsey back home to Steamboat.
