Darin Allred M.D.
Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Darin Allred is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon whose comprehensive orthopaedic medical practice includes surgical and non-surgical options to treat conditions related to the knee, shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, foot and ankle. He is fellowship-trained in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine.
During his career, Dr. Allred enjoyed his time working with collegiate and professional teams such as the Oklahoma Sooners and San Diego Padres. However, he admits his passion revolves around bringing his experience and expertise to patients in small towns who might not otherwise receive top-level orthopaedic care. Keeping his patients active members in their own communities is a top priority for Dr. Allred.
Dr. Allred joined Steamboat Orthopaedic & Spine Institute (SOSI) in 2020, after spending the first 15 years of his career in Denver, Colorado. “My goal in life is about how many people I can help and how many lives I can change, while having a good time doing it. It is really more about helping people and connecting with them, and feeling like I can make a difference.”
Dr. Allred attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City and a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy fellowship in San Diego, California. Dr. Allred is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Allred practices at SOSI’s location in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He also provides medical outreach care to populations in Nevada and Wyoming. Dr. Allred, his wife Lori, and their five children enjoy the outdoors, especially mountain biking, skiing, and wake surfing.
