MRI Tech
Position Summary
SOSI is seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, patient care, and safety protocols. The MRI Technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results.
- Collaborate with radiologists to discuss scan results and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly; troubleshoot any issues that arise during scanning.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in MRI technology and medical imaging practices.
Qualifications
- Certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience with medical imaging equipment, including MRI machines; familiarity with CT or sonography is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to patient care and safety standards.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday. Hours may vary based on clinic needs.
