Steven Boyton, ATC
Steven Boyton, ATC, brings a diverse background in both medicine and leadership, with over eight years of experience in the orthopedic setting. He earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Rehabilitation from the University of Salford in the United Kingdom, where he also had the opportunity to serve on the Tongan National Rugby League medical team during the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
He later moved to Arlington, TX, to complete his Master of Science in Athletic Training, followed by an Athletic Training Residency Program at St. Luke’s in Boise, Idaho. This advanced training allowed him to strengthen his medical knowledge, refine his patient care skills, and deepen his expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine.
Since becoming a certified athletic trainer, Steven has worked in sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery in Flagstaff, AZ, and later at the Ochsner Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans, LA, where he collaborated with the orthopaedic consultant for the New Orleans Saints. He has also supported the USA U15 Boys Soccer Training Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA.
Outside of work, Steven is an avid distance runner, often cheered on at races by his wife (who also works at SOSI) and their German Shepherd, Yugi.
